One of my clients is like aunt to me… she is teaching me so many things, one of which is having ME time. She has an in depth curriculum for me about this, the lesson span ranges from including gardening and working with dirt (I love dirt and feeling like I live in the pre-tech days… old soul in a 22 year old body), to learning what it is to be pampered and get our nails done, to a field trip to a concert… purely for educational purposes right XD ❤
but one of my favorite lessons in this grand plan of hers so far was just recently. We had a girls night out and went to the Texans Patriots football game and MAN!! what an experience! The fans were decked out in their teams colors and emblems… ironically both teams pretty much have the same colors XD We made the long treck to our seats, along the way hearing a little band, the chatter of awaiting fans with high hopes and pride that rested on their team. Guys passing out spongy Texans fan swag, others walking around selling cotton candy and lottery tickets, fans talking mess to each other, the small things were really the ones that built up the anticipation.
After an excessive entrance with a light show and smoke, a half time show, and the cannon being fired several times (several times for the Texans… the Patriot weren’t so lucky), my first NFL game had a COMPLETELY unexpected turnout. Texans 28 to 22!!

Once the VICTORY WAS OURS!!! it was time to be herded like cattle out the doors. All the Patriot fans were walking at the same sluggish pace to where I could almost see the ball and chains bring dragged from one person to the next. But not US! This girls-night-out posy zig zagged our way through the crowd, running and laughing down the stadium ramps and parking lot like two little girls on the playground. THAT is functional fitness!!
